Jack Brooks

Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer

Qualifications – Level 2 Fitness Instructor, Spin, Kettlebell and TRX Suspension qualified, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 in Business Administration, 168 Hour TEFL Certificate

Training Style – Variation is my speciality, I provide something different with my classes each week and I’ll push everyone to the last rep.

Favourite exercise – Cannot live without pull ups.

I packed in the office life to make the hobby I loved into a career. I’m always active with a crazy passion for football and travelling.

The relationships between myself and my clients are incredibly important to me. I believe you cannot be physically healthy until you are mentally healthy, so I always look at both aspects with my clients to achieve their goals. #MindsMatter

Michael McAuley

Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer

Qualifications – Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 PT. First Aid Trained. Plus BSC Honours in Police and Criminal Investigation

Training style – Tough and always varied with a touch of aggression when needed #service with a smile

Favourite exercise -– Partial to a kettlebell swing

I recently developed a new passion for Health and Fitness, so you can usually find me in the gym out of my normal working hours or playing 5-Aside football with friends. I’m also spin qualified, one of my more favourable classes.

The one to one relationship with my PT clients is extremely valuable, helping them achieve their goals and their personal targets is rewarding for them and myself.

Georgie Holt

Fitness Instructor

Qualifications – Level 2 Fitness Instructor, NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness

Training Style – Tough but fun with it, nothing too serious

Favourite exercise – Clean and Press

I originally started here at Oakhill as an apprentice and achieved my level 2 Fitness Instructor in early 2019. My knowledge and experience has grown whilst being here and I now have 12 months of group exercise teaching experience. I love teaching classes!

Outside of work hours, I’m a keen cricket player, I caught the cricket bug when I was 11 years old and I’m currently playing for Lancashire women’s team and have been there for the last 3 years. This has always been a huge passion of mine.

Dean Barritt

Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer

Qualifications – BTEC National Diploma in Sports coaching and have a Foundation Degree in Health and Personal training. First Aid Trained

Area of expertise – Body Transformations, as a trainer I look to inspire, motivate and educate clients to hit their fitness goals through training, nutrition and mind-set.

Favourite exercise – Squat

Prior to Oakhill I have worked as a Personal Trainer at a body transformation facility, re-educating clients on health and wellbeing to achieve their goals. I also did a 1 Year internship at Wigan Warriors RFC as an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach monitoring Lifting Techniques, Nutrition and wellbeing of the Athletes.

My passion for fitness started at a young age playing Rugby League, staying fit was always a priority and from there being in the gym has always been a huge part of my life. I now have 8 years of experience within the health and fitness industry.

Joe Halstead

Fitness Instructor & Personal Trainer

Qualifications BTEC Level 3 sport science Level 2 fitness instructor Level 3 personal trainer Area of expertise- Body transformation helping clients reach there goals in any means necessary to get there achieved results.

I’m new to the fitness industry but it has always been a passion of mine to go to the gym and workout, which is where I am most of the time when I’m not at work (or eating).
Always had a love of playing sports mainly cricket and football but fitness and the gym is my main passion.

Having studied sport science at college and now working at Oakhill, I’ve found what I’d like to do for a long time in my life and I will be pursuing everything I can out of the industry.

Having transformed my own body I have the personal experience to help clients that are ready to transform themselves whether it’s through pts, the gym or classes

Favourite exercise – Bicep curl

Before starting at Oakhill I used to ski race at a national level and travel across the country to race, in 2017 I was crowned with “English School Ski Champion”. I still enjoy ski racing and try to fit this in when I can, getting to Rossendale to practice, is like my second home to Oakhill.

I have always loved being active all my life and now being able to put my passion into the work environment, means I have a job that really gives me satisfaction. I’m looking forward to qualifying and learning more about the industry!

Michael Murray

Physiotherapist

Qualifications – BSc Hons in Physiotherapy at the University of Salford via the Professional Football Association.

I continued playing semi professionally following my time at Rochdale whilst studying for my degree. In this time I’ve also became an accredited personal trainer, working 1 to 1 with clients & also with local GP’s overseeing exercise referral schemes.

My expertise lies with high level rehabilitation, experience & understanding of standards set at professional & amateur level sport and also the everyday worker.

I continue to compete as a golfer at district level & for my clubs scratch team maintaining a handicap of 2/3. I apply my playing knowledge & skills with golf specific biomechanical analysis to promote prehabilitation/ rehabilitation of movement dysfunction in runners, footballers & golfers.

I have high clinical standards and a friendly approach that makes for a professional and relaxed experience for helping patients return to their optimum health & fitness.
